Cojín Mimos® - reduce pressure

To prevent or treat positional head deformities is to try to reduce the pressure to which the baby’s skull is subjected as much as possible. The Mimos® Pillow is a pillow specially designed for the prevention and correction of positional skull deformities in babies, especially plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. It is registered as a medical device and complies with the European quality and safety standards applicable to these products. Thanks to its design and the materials used in its manufacture, a breathable and spongy product is achieved that distributes the pressure on the skull over a larger area, avoiding points of increased pressure and allowing the normal development of the baby’s head.

Mimos® Play - Tummy Time

Mimos Play® places the baby in an ergonomic position to facilitate the practice of Tummy Time; this position is beneficial both to prevent and correct cranial deformities and to enhance the baby’s muscular and sensory abilities. Mimos® Play can be used from the first weeks of life until the baby can withstand 1 hour of Tummy Time/day without any problem. For the correction of severe head deformities, it is important to relieve pressure on the affected area of the head and to apply additional pressure on the non-flat area for at least 30 minutes a day. Therefore, physiotherapists include lateral positioning exercises in the treatment plan for cranial deformities.

Mimos® Play - lateral position

For the correction of severe head deformities, it is important to relieve pressure on the affected area of the head and to apply additional pressure on the non-flat area for at least 30 minutes a day. Therefore, physiotherapists include lateral positioning exercises in the treatment plan for head deformities.
